Serious by name, serious by nature. These incinerators have been trusted for around 30 years and counting — first made in the 90's by Newman Engineering in Dargaville, and proudly built by Iron Tree Products since 2018.

Made from durable Corten weathering steel, they’re designed to handle years of regular use on rural properties. Perfect for green waste, farm rubbish, and general clean-up, they’re a reliable, NZ-made solution that makes burning safe and efficient.

Available in three sizes — Small (210L Ø600mm), Medium (330L Ø750mm), and Large (475L Ø900mm) — there’s a Serious Incinerator to suit every property. For extra safety and compliance, add the Spark Arrestor & Ash Guard Kit, which makes the unit approved under Fire and Emergency NZ standards.

Charcoal Maker - Retort

Turn your Serious Incinerator into a charcoal factory. Designed to fit neatly inside the incinerator, this heavy-duty Corten steel retort makes it easy to produce your own high-quality lump charcoal or biochar — perfect for cooking, gardening, or blacksmithing.

Simply load the box with small pieces of wood, clamp on the lid, and build a fire around it. Within 40–60 minutes, the retort heats up, releases gases from the wood, and ignites them — driving the process with no extra fuel required. The result: efficient, reliable charcoal production that’s impressive to watch and hear.

Made from 3mm Corten weathering steel, the Charcoal Maker is built to last and is one of the most efficient systems on the market.
